I thought the 3.909 box resulted in you hitting 8000 rpm at something like 380-390m of the 400m track? Maybe I'm thinking of something else /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
Then again, that doesn't matter on the mean streets /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Mrnvit, what size tyres were you running?

I personally think I'll be shifting into 5th.
I don't have that type of redline.
Were you running a 2.0L?

Finally getting to enjoy my car.

I recieved some funny comments on the car.
Guys had no idea what it was.

They were asking if it was a MAZDA. They thought it was a MAGNA (DIAMANTE).

I believe this was the most powerful 4 cylinder on the night.
A nissan GTI-R came in off a trailer and it pulled only 295 kw's at all wheels. I drove mine there and away and it made 350kw's at the wheels on pump. I found that funny!!

Gotta love day light saving time /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Mazda? Magna? :rolf: I've had a certifier (guy who says if modifications to cars are street legal) ask if it was factory turbocharged /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif
Dang, is that the heat exchanger handing down under the bumper? Managed to whack it on anythign yet?
Looks good with the Evo 5 wheels, I wonder if the Evo 4 (exactly the same wheel only they are 16x7? opposed to 17x7.5 on the 5) would still look good.

I'm not going to be one of "those guys," but that intercooler setup (the core solely) is kind of taking away from the whole car itself. I don't find it very neat to see a good chunk of the core and intercooler piping hanging below the front bumper /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

However, the car is still a sick machine!

The core is a vertical core so the tanks are on the top and bottom which makes it hard to fit.
The aim is to get a custom lip made so that it will be hidden.

Also fog lights are to go back in to hide the piping.

The clearance from the intercooler to the ground is about 150mm which is considered legal. I aim to raise it up a little more to make it look more stock.

Hp numbers:

348kw at the wheels = 466 hp at the wheels

That was just a very safe run in tune.

I'm happy to keep it at this power level also. Being a street car, I want to keep it reliable.
Thanks for the comments!

Looks great Baz, I know you've been working on this for a long time!

wow, lookin real good!

There's so many awesome little parts on that car that make it what it is.

That's pretty respectable power too!

Hopefully!

I want to finish the AMG first and run it down the 1/4 together.
The AMG will be done shortly. I should create a post about that car.
