Thanks for the info I was thinking about that today and since I have good poly mounts I should relocate that unit to a flex line and rubber mount it to the body. Your post has solidified the choice to do that. Haha thanks! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

How did you shorten the rear bumper? Did you keep the bumper and just cut down the cover? or remove it all?

I cut down the bumper cover, then cut the lower half of the steel bumper off to clear the lower part of the cover.

do you have any close ups of how you did the wheel well to attach it there? I have the bumper off already and have just been chickening out because I want it to look really good.

I had to cut the side brackets and move them back to accommodate everything being shifted forward. Then welded back in place. I don't believe I took many pics due to being in a hurry to get the car out of the shop. But I will dig around.

Well it's been a long day. The T belt stripped at the crank and bent valves galore. Was going about 60 on the hwy and then nothing......
Found a rebuildable used head along with Evo springs,retainers ad exhaust valves. Guess I will be busy this week.

Ported and rebuilt another cylinder head. And installed the cyclone intake manifold.

Well it's body and paint time. My only goal for the car right now is to get the main body/chassis painted. I will be able to paint the rest at a later date.

Started stripping all the trim and panels off today.

Finally able to kill the only bad rust on the car.

Bumper and trunk removed. Ready to be cleaned.

Cleaned and degreased

Let the sanding begin!!

Thanks guys this is my first time trying to do body work and paint it the right way. "As much as I can with no paint booth"
And I do really like the evo wheels on this. Plus they are inexpensive

Well spot filled pin holes and block sanded. Also sprayed with another coat of filler/sealer primer. I have hopes of this being the final wet sand before one more coat of sealer. Then onto color!!!

Pulled the doors of and time to clean and scuff the jams for primer.
