  9. EVO8 Suspension and making it align....

Wow....Roger that makes sense and I will try to draw something up to better visualize the product. I like the idea stated in option #3 as it can knock two things out with one modification. Caster being a good thing isn't my biggest problem and I honestly feel I should fix one aspect of the...
  10. EVO8 Suspension and making it align....

I have EVO8 Suspension on my car and hoping to address the camber issues that are now present; I am at a lost of how I need to go about it. There's rumors of the EVO8 setup pushing the knuckles outward and that seems to be an issue I observe every time I drive the GVR4. I was going to mill...
  11. Manual Steering in the GVR4

I appreciate everyone's advice and explanation of their experiences. I have not had the belt hooked up and its really not bad but just leaky...I'm going to stay clear of the manual rack and de-power my existing rack and be happy once it's done. Thank you everyone and I'll post my experiences...
  12. Manual Steering in the GVR4

The car is not a DD and is leaking fluid like crazy from the PS rack that we looped lines too and from. We eliminated the PS pump and pulley and now we have this leak...I wanna try and get it taken care of ASAP to try in a local Autox event in July. Would you convert to a manual rack and if so...
  13. Heres the pics of 651

    Lookin' clean! REALLY clean!
  14. Alaska?

I went to HS in Wasilla...er...at Colony in Palmer to be more specific...Now down in Montucky...quite a few GVR4s here in town...Wishin I was into them up there...I was more into the SyTy scene. Good luck on your endeavors...you're going to have better luck with DSMs up there than the GVR4s so...
  15. Oil amount

    I'm at 6 quarts FTW!!!
  16. power steering delete?

It's very stable at highway speeds. I like it a lot and it certainly freed up a lot of room in the engine bay. Speeds less than 2 mph tend to become an "arm-strong" moment but how often do you travel at such low speeds?! I think it's a good thing to do as long as you do it correctly.
  17. mad ground clearance

Looking pretty damned montly. I kinda like it
  18. Crazy Stroker Thoughts

  22. Anyone ever try one of these mufflers from Jegs?!

Thank you for the heads-up and advice once again...I've had Magnaflows in the past and really liked them...wallet permitting, I hope to remedy this noise problem soon. Thanks for the feedback on your experiences with Magnaflows and resonators...and Vibrants for that matter...I'm looking into a...

  24. 46/1000 Makes a New Friend

Pop 'em and paint 'em...that's your only method to getting them...unless you're really good at taping things off...then spray and pray...but yes, that looks great without the chrome!
  25. 46/1000 Makes a New Friend

Sharp looking car buddy...keep it clean and get it mean!
  26. Anyone ever try one of these mufflers from Jegs?!

you have a link to that DC muffler?! I need some seriously quieting down....
  27. winter tires

Best tires hands down I've ever used, in AK and MT have been the Hanooks Winter iPikes which can also be studded for extreme awesomeness...they're cheap as hell and soft in all temperatures! Looks 'em up and drool!
  28. bypassing coolant lines?

And only use synthetics for the less likelihood of coking your oil...but that should be common sense on these rides....
  29. Anyone ever try one of these mufflers from Jegs?!

right on...yeah...the muffling is for the "others" around me...I just got my first ticket in the GVR4 and I'd rather not make any of the other shithead police mad at the Galant being so awesome
  30. Anyone ever try one of these mufflers from Jegs?!

Good to know. Maybe I should sell the RRE resonator and rethink the whole exhaust setup...its loud and proud but needs a little more lul in the exhaust tone....babies cry when get on it...
  31. Anyone ever try one of these mufflers from Jegs?!

I have from the e316g, 3" exhaust to right before the 45 to jog over to out the back, a RRE 16" resonator and than a 3" segmented SS tip outside the bumper...I'm not worried of how it sounds in the cabin...its gonna be louder then sh!t no matter what I do after removing ALL the interior and...
  32. Anyone ever try one of these mufflers from Jegs?!

good to know...I have a resonator being used now but that has no effect on the Galant's loudness...perhaps a "real" muffler is needed then...thanks for the heads-up
  33. Anyone ever try one of these mufflers from Jegs?!

Trying to find something very inexpensive and able to muffle the 3" exhaust a good amount...anyone have any experience with these on a 4g63 motor? They sound great on trucks with the 5.7; that's all the knowledge I have on themclick
  34. Choosing Cams --E3 16g setup--

Alan...go with the 264/264....then if needed upgrade to the 264/272 combo...the cam that will allow you to feel the most difference RIGHT away would be the 264/264 combo...and shoot...if you don't like em, upgrade and sell your "old" setup to me...we're just down the road 100 miles or so...
  35. Easiest method for removing dash...

Well apparently when typing dash+removal it doesn't work the same...and after the previous post to mine I found it in the How-To section...thanks
  36. Easiest method for removing dash...

Noted, thank you BoostedAWD91...I tried the search function but it ended up saying no results found...Will peruse the How-To threads and get more advice...thank you!
  37. Easiest method for removing dash...

My damned gauges are all sorts are wired weird and I am going to remove the dash and wire them all up properly so that the dimmer on the dash doesn't make some turn off, some go dim, and others get extremely bright....so if anyone could please share with me the easiest and most non-destructive...
  38. baby huey build

^^ Agreed...you will never be happier if you have some awesome snow tires/wheels combo...I'd just go with steelies and some studded snow...BOOM...tractor pulls here you come!
  39. 1807/2000

DAAAAAMN!!! I paid well over $1800 for a wrecked GVR4...nice find!
  40. Ryan's #303/2000

Lookin sharp! if you plan on keeping it US spec you should consider an exhaust heat shield for your poor rear bumper...other then that it looks FAAAAR better then mine will nice work! Get some motor shots!
  41. megan racing gauges

Well, making money after buying new gauges seems like a better idea for sure I understand your dilemma more clearly now...Good luck on a quick sale!
  42. megan racing gauges

You're sad because your badass Delfi system is working?! C'mon...use that and save yourself some money...unless your Delfi gauges are messed up...then yeah, that blows...figure it out and get what you need working! BANZAI!!!
  43. megan racing gauges

Also a valid compromise...however, I believe Megan has the better price...nonetheless...both seem to be "similar" in appearance to Delfi....
  44. megan racing gauges

I have a water temp gauge and am looking to get one of their EGT ones as well...you will NOT be disappointed...unless you compare them to the Delfi ones...they are great and the lighting schemes they offer are prefect for all occasions...they have great reviews too so I say go for it!
  45. E85 and the cold

Just under the assumption that they still continue to sell it at the pump in these temperatures, I'd say its still suitable for use during below zero weather...it will not gel up like diesel but being a vegetable variant, it might...if your gas station attendants are anything like the one's out...
  46. Boarderline retardation: where is my temp sensor?!

I appreciate all the advice and help...I HAVE located one from my buddy at DynoJet...will be wired in this evening...Thanks guys
