I have not seen a pic of the "flame thrower out the tailpipe" kit yet.

When is that coming?

... soon ... I got a great deal of this guy on e-Bay, he's got a Talon that can do a 7.35 sec quarter mile. He's been meaning to run Shep for the last two years but the 1500 bhp from the 4G63 bored out to 3.5 litres and stroked with the GT86 turbo and 650 bhp shot of Nos keeps breaking his carbon fibre dog engagement gearbox. He's getting titanium ones built now though so he reckons on being in the sixes soon !!!

anyways he needed some cash for the titanium parts and the special turbine he's building that kicks in at 13500 rpms and so he sold me the following

flame thrower kit (universal) with custom gas filler aperture mounting kit ;
purge led illumination kit ... I've got no NOS so I'm venting the air freshener to atmosphere ;
a special high flow fan for the intake pipe that creates a ramair effect at under 2000 rpms ;
NASA/USAF special order B-2 Bomber Stealth Paint (reduces coefficient of drag by 33%) ;
carbon fibre ignition key ... weight reduction ; and
a special electrical impulse generator that allows the timing equipment at the drag strip to get a reading of the cars speed (normally impossible because of the B-2 Stealth Bomber paint !!!)

Check with Al for details it should be arriving at Dent Sport Garage sometime next week !!!

This is a joke, right?

Yes ... Harry, it WAS a joke /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/idea.gif

But this IS NOT ...

Today I heard that the Galant Club in Hong Kong has a supplier for brand new carpet ... I'm on it already ...

i haven't said anything yet. i've just been keep up with the new posts and pics.. but sh*t, this is far better than porn. i absolutely can't wait to see the finished product. this car is just crazy.

and those headlights are looking a LOT better. i wasn't a big fan of the old ones but reworked they look sick. not my style in particular but a huge step in that direction.

can't wait to see the new goodies!

here is my $0.02...............
jesus christ man. I give up on trying to have a nice galant.

Harry,
How did you manage to get hold of Jon at TRE before? I seriously have nothing against the guy, he has been held up with delays on delivery of the Cusco Diff and that was not his fault. But now I just want to get the TRE box done so that I can get this stuff shipped over here and get going on the rebuild. His voicemail is full and both Al and I have sent long e-mails requesting specific work and information for payment and all we get back is a "Thanks Jon"

You don't have a cell number do you?

Paul.

Jealous...

No, I was asking why he was giving up on having a nice GVR4.

You can no longer quote previous threads, if you haven't noticed.

Harry,
Thanks. Jon got back to me, he says the gearbox should be done next week. I think I'm about done on the parts ... a few things to chase up, like the intercooler setup, getting my poly bushes to Al so he can fix up and clean up the 4 bolt rear and install the rear diff ... and then I'm pretty much ready to ship.

Paul.

Compomotive MOs 18 x 8, offset can't remember exactly (it's on their site and it was in the 35-38 ballpark area) ... not light about 26 lbs each I believe but pretty much guaranteed not to break. I thought about Magnesium Rims I would of taking Als rims at that price if I'd realized he was selling them but I couldn't justify the price tag of the TE37 Mags much as I adored them. The TE37 Mags are literally HALF the weight of these and still the same dimensions which is just unbelievable.

I'm sure for the price the quality would have been awesome but I've heard a lot of issues with Mag Rims on anything other than perfect asphalt and we don't get much of that in Hong Kong. One thing I have learnt about going fast on the roads here is that you need ground clearance, shocks with plenty of travel and strong rims. With these mods alone you can beat just about any car of equivalent performance to your own because the race shocked, lowered and fancy japanese rim brigade brake, slow down and go over every speed hump, pothole, ramp and crack in the pavement at obscenely slow speeds. If you can just keep going you can close them down no trouble.

sh*t Paul, I was following this thread for the 1st 2-3pgs, now it's up to 6. I just spend the last 20 mins catching up on everything WOW /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif This will be the most anticipated gvr4 build in the world. Can't wait.
