How to replace the water pump

I started getting my car running and i already have the alternator out and its getting rebuilt.

the water pump is siezed and i already have the power steering pump off

Do i need to take the timing belt off? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I suggest, BEFORE you remove the old timing belt, that you mark the relationship of the belt to the cam gears, oil pump gear and crank gear with some liquid paper. Then, once you have removed the old timing belt, you can line it up with the new timing belt and transfer the marks to the new belt. From there all you have to do is match the marks on the new belt up with the marks on the gears. It's a fool proof way to get the valve timing correct.
