Youtube video

This one came from Rhode Island. Crashed and ran off the road into a big rock. Radiator support was smashed up. The front pass frame rail (the big box the tranny mount goes to) was all crumped up from the crash, totalled car for sure. The car was also impaled on a road sign post that went through the headlight, blew up the sheetmetal under the fuse box...went through the fender well, through the back of the fenderwell unibody, and into the pass front door. crazy! had he went a foot more to the right and there had been a passenger in the front seat....that person would have been impaled! The shell was half parted out before I got it (drivetrain and performance mods gone) I pulled the wiring harnesses, interior, and some of the remaining undamaged exterior parts. The front pass frame rail was all crumped up from the crash, totalled car for sure.

Anyway, this wrecking yard now has 4 GVR4 shells in it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jawdrop.gif

Going for the GVR4 "kills" record? Putting them out of their misery one car at a time.

Bummer about the wreck, didn't you just finish doing a ton of work to this car?

Well, I might eventually be the top killer, but Im not really sure yet. This is the 4th GVR4 I'v sold for scrap metal ($70 BTW) so far, I have my eye on about 3 more that are:

[*]within reasonable distance
[*]damaged beyond reasonable/economical repair
[*]price is such that I can turn a profit worth the effort
[*]zero interest from "everyday enthusiasts" in buying these cars to repair.

I like Nate's work, hes doing whats best for these poor cars. Its better to part those rotting VR4's here then to someone that doesn't get involved in this community.

Oh, totally show us this skewering... maybe give someone a chance to weld in some protective 1/2" plate just in case!

Now I took pictures of the holes, but I can't find them in Lightroom. Gotta go through memory cards, maybe I forgot to download one or something.

Be mad at the guy who crashed the car. At least people are going to get parts off it, as prev owner was ready to junk it since I seriously doubt anyone else would have been interested in taking it.

roofs...no I haven't. I would if they were perfect non sunroof. Funny, I think every parts gvr4 iv had so far has had roof dents!

Yeah, pass front door was buckled and punctured on the front edge between the hindges. Local guy bought the other three good doors.

OK! I can sleep at night again. At least members will get to restore their whips with the death of this galant /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Looking straight through the pass headlight...if you look closely, you can see the tire tread!!!

looking down into engine bay. The sheetmetal in front of the fuse box is completely torn away! Sux the battery terminal box is blocking the view.

I couldn't or didn't get a pic of the leading edge of the pass door, but it was bent and punctured as well.
