Since he decided not to even answer your simple question..

DSMLink/ECULink is a tuning program for our cars and other "DSMs" that through a chipset soldered onto your OEM EPROM ECU (or in a chip deck) you can connect your OEM ECU to a laptop and tune it. The price isn't bad but there are cheaper options such as Jackal which does the same thing and is updated more regularly for FREE. So you can take your pick.

In fon Jackal can be found at DS-Map.net I believe.

Shut the f*** up. He answered his question just fine with a link that explains it all. You only jumped in to plug your "jackal" bullshit.

It's okay, he misspelled Belize Green anyway. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hsugh.gif

I felt it would be better to post the link to the site for the full overview, rather than me trying to explain exactly and everything it does. It also allows him to search around there for any further questions he may have about it. I use ds-map as well, but will be switching over to Megasquirt eventually.

im in melbourne mate... too bad.. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

i always thought i should run an aftermarket computer instead if chipping the stock one.... thought it would be better....
so does ECMlink does the job well?
what do u recommend?

ECM link is not an after market computer persay.

AEM EMS is an after market computer. ECM link just replaces the chip in your stock ECU. This allows you to retain all the stock settings you want and adjust the things that you need to. I have ECM link in my car, and I love it. It can't do everything an AEM EMS system can, but it is more than capable for tuning a street car.
