+1 for the EVOIII 16G. Between the vehicles I've driven, tuned, & owned, I've seen everything from stock T-25s to GT35Rs to a 60-1 on a 1.6L 4G61T Colt.
I currently run a 20G on my AWD Spyder and an EVOIII 16G on my VR-4, and I must say, the EVOIII might have the best characteristics of any true "street" turbo. Sure, I've heard many guys state, "Oh, I love my 60-1 HiFi on my FWD on the street." Which is great until a minivan walks away from you in 5th at a highway cruise.
Perhaps the greatest aspect of the EVOIII is it's well-roundedness (I think I just made that word up). You can achieve full spool (20psi) by ~3200-3300 rpms, sustain enough boost to take you deep into the 12's, and perhaps the high 11s with good driving and a little diet, and still pass at will in a 55mph zone without shifting out of 5th. The turbo looks stock, retains stock fitment, and doesn't require any special hardware (manifold, dp, IC pipes, etc.) to get up and running.
One word of caution -- don't buy the Chinese junk. Buy an MHI from a reputable dealer.
