You think I have an Evo III Big16g than Anthony? That's what I have based on those numbers. But everyone has told me it's just a regular big 16g

I feel like I've owned 50 tdo5 turbos through trading and swapping over the years. The 47 indicates it's an Evo III. If it had 52 it would be a small 16g and 42 is a big 16g. Those are the only numbers you really need to know. 14b is pretty obvious. The tdo5h 20g is a head scratcher, then you realize the compressor housing is machined out and the intake wheel is huge. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hsugh.gif

Quoting 123abc:
Would it now be stupid to ask, what's the differences between the Evo 1 and Evo 2 turbos?

The VR4, Evo 1 and Evo 2 16Gs all share the same CHRA. The only differences are the turbine and compressor housings (and wastegate actuator for the VR4). They are all still 'TD05H-16G-7'.
