A/c makes a crazy noise

When i have my a/c on in the car it sounds like my cars going to shake apart it makes a loud noise and just shakes pretty hard. Anyone know how i can fix this or someways i can trouble shoot this /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif

I guess you should start with a visual inspection of the A/C belt and pulley. Pop the hood and start the engine. Have someone engage the A/C as you watch the A/C compressor. See if you can see any vibration from the pulley/belt area.

Do you maintain idle RPMs when you turn the A/C on?
 

Yeah it maintains idle rpms just makes that noise. So its prob something stupid that i just over looked when i checked it the first time.

How about we determine if it is actually the A/C clutch before we start telling people to buy parts. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
