The other day I took a long lunch and went to Granite State Dyno in Kingston NH.

The van pulled 265hp off the street
Then 292hp with open exhaust
Lastly 303hp changing pump gas with 110 octane race fuel

I probably could have gotten another 10 hp from more tuning, but I had to get back to the office.

That is one sexy summmit!!!

Here's mine:

If it doesn't sell soon then I'm going to have to start gathering parts to turbo it, leaving it SOHC, of course.

I saw your Summit! Nice van! Rust free vans like that are next to impossible to find! But... I haven't seen them sell for over $2000 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif. I always say that my Summit is worthless, but irreplaceable /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

You're exactly right, the value just isn't there on these things unfortunately. My last 92 AWD (rare 6 bolt 4G64) took 4 months to sell and it had new tires, full t-belt maintenance, was 100% rust free with cold AC and the body was near mint, a little over 100k on it. Ended up getting $1750 for it and the guy drove it back to NY from NC after I picked him up at the airport on it.

I do have a soft spot for these things though, we recently picked up a fwd on the cheap and my wife is now driving it everyday.

Leon, you have made so much progress on this one. I miss it too. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

So I took the Summit to spectator drags at Seekonk Speed way 4th of the July event. This is probably the largest venue (10k spectators), that we get to drive in front of, as armature racers. It is never wracking, but fun event!
I know that I had a lot of fun with the Summit at the drag strip, but this was even better! It was truely hubling! The response to my Summit was positively overwhelming! ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE, from track workers, other drivers, safety crew, to spectators and all the enduro drivers, was giving me thubs up!

Driving through the pits, after the race took a while, because people would run up and congratulate me! I did OK at the race, going 4 rounds and finishing 6th out of 72 cars. I do have to figure out why it is pushing so much in the corner... Time for some suspension tuning!

This is a video all

BTW, this is what it looked like from a modified Fiero:

I wasn’t really going for the win, I need to save it for the DSM Shootout next month!

No, not exactly like LilEVO... I do not mess around on the track /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif. I was one of the original DSMer to do this, back in '98! But I haven't done it since '05.

It was dark green/florescent green But I no longer have it, I parted it out back in '05. A friend bought it and put a LOT of more mods on it!

It should be capable of 8’s now!
