Where the hell is your turbo oil supply tapped from?? How is your oil filter not catching this stuff first?!?! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/uhh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/uhh.gif

Question about that intercooler. I never understood the side to side flow IC's with the hot side and the cold side sharing an endtank. Is it divided internally? I hope so otherwise the air could bypass the core altogether. Before anyone says "Of course it would have to be!" I have actually seen some Ebay stuff like that.

Just checked it out from when you first got it to how its evolved from there and looks like its coming along great!! Best of luck with the build!

the oil feed is coming off the oil filter housing.

if you figure out how the inline filter isn't catching everything and i still blew up the turbo i will pay you 500 dollars /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The inlet and outlet end tanks are siamesed together on one side but they are internally divided. The air ends up making two passes through the core. That's the way it is supposed to work at least. I hope even with the often shoddy craftsmanship of ebay stuff they wouldn't overlook something like that.

then at the end of the night my car gave me a nice thanks for the hard work and broke the v-band when i was putting the down pipe on.

photo-4-1.jpg

obviously none of the welds are cleaned up in this pics and it still doesn't have the vacuum port on but you get the idea.

cleaned up a bit and with my vacuum port added onto it.

P9151091.jpg

P9151089.jpg

19 years and 175,000 miles and it looks brand new...

P9151090.jpg

finished the diff and got it all back together.

Wow. All that work to weld up a 3bolt rear /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif once you brake a axle you fu-ked. You will never get the chunk of axle out. You would have been better off just putting in a 4bolt now.
