I soaked my valve lifters in diesel fuel for three days and I need to know how they should feel when they are good. When you hold one at the base and turn the knurled small end what should happen? A couple of mine rotate easily, a couple do not rotate, and most rotate with different amounts of effort. Which are good? Do they come apart? Maybe if they are supposed to rotate PB Blaster will loosen them?

Great. Thanks again. Now I can see another good reason for 3g other than just noisy tics. I think I will get some 3g's now.

Does anybody know if Eristicgaskets on ebay 3rd gen ( that is what it looks like to me) lifter a good product? $83 and free shipping.
