Vac w/ Bigger Cams & boost leak test

Anyone running BC 272 Int & Exh w/ factory compression? What is your vacuum (in/Hg)?
My elevation is ~240ft. (73m) above sea level.
Thanks for help

also, anyone know where I can find a kit to test for boost leaks on the cheap?

Last, what should I set the timing @ w/ the 272s for DD'ing?

Sorry BC 272's. With stock cams it was around 20-22 inches.

Make a tester with couplers from the Home Depot plumbing section.

Start with stock base timing. I run about 2 or 3 degrees base with my set up but I am running 25psi on pump. If you've got your AFR's in check and nothing else is wrong then I don't see anything wrong with pulling some base timing out. You will lose some of your low end torque but when you get into knock free boost its all worth it to me.

I run BC's 272/272 with Wiseco 8.3:1 pistons. Vacuum is between 12-14 at idle. Set the timing to the stock setting which is 5*BTDC.

atc250r : I caught Cptn. Spalding in a pm, he broke it down for me in an idiot "proof fashion"
I'm planning on picking up a timing light in the morning.

I'm seeing between 12-14 with a stock bottom end and BC 272's.
I have my base timing set at 5deg and I am running 27psi on a 50 trim.
Meth injection rules!
