So, the new motor is finally done, installed, and running. Idles perfectly at 850, man is this thing smooth running. So far I've put about 700 miles on it already, has seen no more then 50% throttle, and 5k a few times here and there, running only 10 psi, on a B16G through the break in.
Here's a few pics of it all.
Rebuild at 271k
Parts pile fresh from cryotreatment, and the machinist, for balancing, bore, etc...
Mahle Pistons/Scat Rods
New Eagle Crank
Installing the pistons
Packing the front cover/Oil Pump
Bottom end assembled
Scraper
Cleaning up the head
Evo IX Valves
Supertech Dual Springs, Ti retainers, Manley Locks
Cleaning up the Intake
Head Assembled
Assembled
In she goes
While she was down, I also did a number of repairs/maintenance, wheel bearings, brakes,
rebuilt the driveshaft (yoke, UV's, carriers), Fixed and replaced
various/missing subframe pieces, cleaning, Wiring, etc..etc..etc... (Too much
time and money to list)
Brakes
Engine Bay Before
Engine Bay After
For anyone who wants to keep their AC while having the Cyclone manifold, cut the
Intake Bracket like so
Couple of shots as she sits, too bad it was too dark already.
