So when I did my heater core I pulled back the carpet to reveal a hole in my drivers side floor. I don't believe in scrapping a numbered car or parting it out, I'd rather fix it. Anyone on here done this before? Easy task? I'm going to do it regardless but would like to get some ideas from fellow gvr4 guys.

I am getting ready to scrap a shell. I would gladly cut you out a patch panel if you want.

How big? Price? Shipping costs?

As big as you need. I would basically only want shipping costs. I would think they would be reasonable since its pretty thin metal. Shipping all depends on how big of a piece you need.

Just a cell phone picture, about 4 inches each way but the underneath looks like i'll need to cut more out.

Could be the small pic, but that doesn't look like a hole in the floor. It looks like a hole in the undercoating and just some surface rust on the metal. Either way, I'll grab some pics of mine today. A section that small won't be more than $10 to ship.

Look over the rest of the car very well....Cars generally don't rust out in just one spot!

Sorry I'm slacking on getting you a pic. Mine is starting to rust on the driver side but not on the passenger side. But its just surface rust, its still good metal. But that car has rusted roof, rockers, etc, so I agree with pulling the moldings and checking everywhere else for rust as well.
