Welcome. Gotta love that mitsu clear coat

All too common misconception about Mitsu paint. Their paint is fine, it's usually the owners as the reason why auto paint turns to crap.

Take a look at the recent VR4's that have been for sale that are in excellent condition and all of them have good original 23 year old paint, because they took care of it.

OP, congrats on the new ride.

The paint is fine, but like many cars, there are typical problems that show up as vehicles get older. It's not a big deal or an insult, it's just a thing.

There was a class action lawsuit against Mitsubishi a few years ago for their black paint. Obviously it didn't cover the vr4 in question. To say it's a common misconception that Mitsubishi's paint hasn't been great, is a little misleading.
