So I have a bad slave cylinder from the galant. I have a 2g slave and am getting different search results on tooners if a 2g cylinder will work in a 1g, but what about the vr4? Does anyone know if it will work? They look close to being the same but one is an after market so I would expect that.

AFAIK, its all relatively similar, difference being AWD/FWD for the 1g's. the slave listed for a 2g does not specify AWD/FWD.

i use a 1g FWD slave cylinder, originally bought for use with a twin disc, but i just kept using it throughout the various clutch setups i had (PTT twin disc, ACT 2100, clutchmasters/4puck) works just fine for me.

Right, I have a braided line so that doesn't matter. Is there difference in 1g to 2g in the pressure or the length of travel?

I've been using a 2G slave in my gvr4 for the last 12+ years. You have to shave the bottom portion of the motor mount a bit to clear the bleed nipple and give clearance for nipple wrench. The reason I am using the 2G slave is because the bleed nipple points to the driver side and it makes bleeding easier because access to it is no longer obstructed by the center cross member. Never like the way mitsu put the slave bleed nipple arrangement in 1G and gvr4.
