How to check for exhaust leaks

Other than putting your hand by the manifold and feeling for leaks, whats a safe and effective method to check for leaks?

I have been thinking about pressurizing the exhaust system from the tip just like IC pipes but from the other end. I have not gotten the chance to try it yet.

seafoam... I did it and found massive cracks in my exhaust manifold /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

idk just a suggestion.
