It will only continue to crack.

Unless you are an experienced welder do not weld this up yourself. This is not something that you can just mig weld! Welding cast iron takes some practice and the right rod. Mig welding will only fall out and do damage.

Quoting MellowVR4:

Welding with a mig that has ER70 wire in it does not work at any temperature. Different metals...... Your better off getting a new one if you don't have the ability to weld this!

Those really aren't that bad. I've seen much much worse. Like grand canyon style cracks that leak tons of exhaust gas out the wastegate hole. That housing can probably be used for several thousand more miles or more. It's not as ideal as a new housing, or a used one with zero cracks, but it'll work. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I personally think i could use it for now, your right the cracks arnt that deep. Ill probably just coat the housing and run it threw the summer, would the amount of boost depend on how long the housing would last me? Or would it just crack same over time no matter the boost its set to.

More boost, more exhaust pressure and stress. I've seen way worse. I'd say run it and keep it in mind that you need to replace it.

Ive seen worse also, just wanted to know your opinion on it. It will always be in the back of my mind that it would need to get changed in the future.

Like said before, it's not great but it will work for awhile. Don't try to weld it though. Either use it as is or get a new one.
