Educate me on the DSMlink, the 1g setup will work directly in my VR4 or will there be any wiring to do? I see the chip is right there in the picture, but there is no ECU it comes with?

You need the 1G chip and a socketed ecu. That's all. The link cable connects to the Factory DLC and the rest is plug n play.
