pulled the turbo out today to rebuild it today, and besides alot of in n out play the fins looked like debris have been hitting the compressor wheel. some oil from the pcv has been entering the turbo could oil hitting the fins do this damage?
would you recomend reusing the wheel whith rebuild? any and all help is aprecciated.

I've seen that happen. It usually only happens from solids hitting the blades and not liquids. A stock PCV set up lets a lot of oil vapor in the turbo and they always look fine. It looks like a China unit from the center nut. I would junk the whole thing and find a used any size MHI 16G.

I've seen that happen when a stock rubber intake pipe dry rotted on the inside and the turbo was inhaling small rubber chunks.
