Do you guys remove the insulator stuff on the firewall?

In the engine bay, that soft stuff that is on the firewall. My motor is out right now and im thinking about removing it. Negatives and positives to this anyone? Thanks. BTW the car will not be daily driven.

yes i have removed mine,makes things look alot cleaner. It really wont make that much of a difference
