Nice!. What is the setup?
It's a stock block with some arp's and a FP red set at 30ish lbs. I picked this one up over 2 years ago and been restoring it back to life since it sat for 12 years. I've redone the fuel and brake lines whole front end is new and i'm slowly but surely getting it to a nice level that i'm happy with it. I gotta figure out how to bring my build thread from tuners on here since i've been posting updates as i've been doing them on there. I'll have updated pics of the engine bay in a few i just ordered the lines and fittings to finish the catch can system.

Nice. I'm thinking of going to a ACT 2100 and dropping the boost back to 16psi. I'm having trouble finding a balance between stock and modded, but I like the overall stock feel.

You should try the southbend kit. They have a lighter feel and the disk hold really well. Contact tim and he can point you in the right direction for a clutch with light feel.

Will do. I'm waiting on new injector seals to show up, then I want to get a resonator for the exhaust. If I'm happy with the results, I'll look into a street disk and southbend

Wish I could get mine running, can't even get her to idle
Start with a boost leak test, followed by a compression test. Likely it's just an air or fuel problem. Unless you've over boosted the engine (ran too lean), they are really stout.

Yah I pulled her apart due to wet exhaust port #3 did head gasket cams ect. First start was no bueno. Couldn't make her idle and she is pig rich. So I jumped timing connection to try to set base but can't keep her idling enough to get out of driver seat with a timjng light.

On a whim I did a compression test since I did do a HG and it's only pulling 85psi so I must have fucked something up along the way, or the machine shop did with the head.

If you can't get it running, is this a cold compression test? If so, it might not be broken. Dry piston rings combined with a cold engine that hasn't run in a while could produce scary low numbers. Bore scope cameras are getting pretty cheap now days. Might be working taking a look to make sure everything is dry. If you don't have any coolant in the cylinders or oil, I'd do a boost leak test make sure you didn't miss something. I know I did when I my HG. Started and died.

Was a cold comp test yes but after cranking her several times compression is coming up, im now up to 105 psi.

We just set timing at 5BTDC using a light and magic. Lol no marks on my pulley which is weird.

Just pressurized cylinder 1 and the motor holds pressure at 50psi. No leaks

I'm still weirded out that when I do get it to start I'm pulling 0 vac and it's rich as f***

Sounds like you have a vacuum leak if your gauge is reading zero. I also saw your other post. If your running ECMlink, make sure your base tune has the right injector size and MAF. I recall someone else lost a tune and had the same pig rich issue.

The timing marks are on the lower timing belt cover. Might need to clean them up.

I had an act 2600 that I purchased and then ended up purchasing an act twin disk and running that. So far I absolutely love the twin disk. I thought something was wrong when I first installed it because the pedal is very soft. The engagement takes a little to get used to but once you know it you’re good to go

I appreciate your responses, I figured it our I was off on timing on the bottom end. Now I'm pulling fuel with ecm link at idle. Man evoscan is so much cleaner lol.

Regardless she idles, she revs she will drive. Kelfords are amazing she lumps real good at idle. Jdm bumpers on arrival. So to keep this thread legit she will be driving in 2 weeks. PNW if anyone wants to cruise.

I know we have a registry, but I've always wondered how many are actually drivable.

I know it's impossible to get an accurate count, but please report if you have a Galant that is ready to drive, or built for race only, but still drivable.

347/1000 is currently a modded street car only and drivable.
702 / 2000 drivable. Attended 2023 Shootout.
