How many VR4s are left

I posted this question in Newbies so that absolutley everyone, even non registered peeps, can see this. Mods, if you need to move it then go for it. Im very curious as to how many VR4s are left in at least near running condition. Its Iceman that keeps the registry, right? If so hopefully he will have a look at this post and give an answer. I do realize that we dont know the location of ALL the VR4s in the US, but still. Of the VR4s that we know about, how many are left? Sorry if his is a repost, I suck at searching. Thanks.

I have also wondered this. Obviously it would be impossible to get an exact number but I would bet at least 10-20% will never see the road again. Due to being wrecked, parted, rusted out, forgotten, crushed, junked, or burned. The number may be even higher than that.

Iceman has a lot of cars matched up with VINs, but its still only a small % of the 3008 produced. He could tell you how many have been destroyed vs. still running based on his records.

I think he said he has around 500 in his registry when I asked him last year sometime. Too bad there isn't an easy way to figure it out, but let's face it, to most people they are just another ugly car /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bawling.gif

I know of 2 dead ones.dont have vin numbers.one in mass and the other in cali.oh wait maybe i dont have the vin#s the one in mass i have the doors so vin should be there and the cali one i got the fender. vin should be on the fender?the fender is on 385.the fender i got was kensington grey and it was super mint.the car looked like it lost an axle since the tire was bent in.

Yeah...mine is supposed to be a DD but its down with a plethora(Shows off his ej-uh-muh-kaysh-un but probly spells it wrong /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif)of problems. Hopefully it will be goin again soon. Also Im gonna try to get this one road worthy again VR-4 : (

Mine would be my daily driver, but yeah, don't have my license as of now so it sits in the driveway as i continue to fix/modify.

 

SHEEP 762/1000 Still a DD

 

Could someone at least tell which ones are accounted for? I am always on the lookout for ones that haven' t been. When I find one it would be nice if their was a way I could check other than pm-ing iceman.

 

Mine is a DD also. Except now its a daily on jack stander. My T-belt broke. Hopefully I'll have it running in the next two weeks. Right now I'm driving my friends 1g Talon TSI, which happened to develope a bad radiator leak the 2nd day I started driving it. Oh I love DSM's, lol.

BTW, I know of one old man who has a black Galant VR4 here in town, and I have seen 2 others driving around. One black, and one green(lowered, rims, exhaust).
