Found 'em and got them out! Thanks! Now, is there any trick for getting that damn rubber boot off or pulling it out through the firewall?

I already have the center console off, but I didn't see any bolts inside. Lemme check again.

Bought some shifter cables from him. He had them in the mail right away and was exactly what I needed. Would definitely buy off him again in the future!

It seems my one shifter cable went out today and in my looking it doesn't seem to be an easy part to find. What I'm curious about is if any other models of Galants or DSMs use the same shifter cables or where I may be able to find them relatively cheap. Thanks in advance!

Remember to remove the transfer case too. First time I did a clutch and transmission replacement on my car, we sat there for like an hour trying to figure out why the transmission wouldn't come off until we finally realized you had remove the t-case first

Or you could just pop the end off the transmission and swap the output shafts so your transfer case works like I did

How do you adjust the shifter cables? I am not completely sure of what's involved with it.
