Hey guys, my car was running great until today, the check engine light came on, and now when I try to accelerate the car cuts out, I can only drive it if I apply just a tiny bit of throttle, any more than that and the car cuts out, like it's hitting fuel cut or something. Please help, need to get this sorted as the car is my DD. Mods are evo3 16g, safcII, 550cc RC injectors, fmic, 2g maf...
thanks!

When was the last time you changed your spark plugs? Also be a good idea to find out what CEL(Check engine light)code popped.

Classic symptoms of a split intercooler hose/boost leak. If the split isn't too bad, car runs almost ok under vacuum but leaks air under boost when you try to give throttle. If you've got stock pipes check the rubber one over the exhaust manifold. It tends to fail on the inner bend.

I changed the plugs yesterday, I put in BR7ES's gapped to about .030

I think you might have hit the nail on the head, the intercooler piping is pretty sketchy and I'm sure it has boost leaks, also, vaccum leaks. I need to redo the intercooler piping and VAC lines, but I'll check and see if there's a split coupler or something, I'm guessing there is.
Thanks! I'll update and see what I find.

It wasn't the intercooler pipes, and the maf connector is plugged in all the way. I have a 2g maf with an adapter but it seems to be plugged in all the way. I redid all the vac lines today and checked all the intercooler pipes and everything is good. I'm stumped. Anyone else got any ideas?

I fixed it, the internet is an amazing tool. It was something in the SAFC2 settings, I basically reset the SAFC2 and redid all the settings with the baseline settings that are on the Road Race Engineering website and it runs perfectly now.
