Looking to buy a stock shift arm for my e39a. Owner before me decided to chop it in half to make it a “short shifter”. He chopped the thread too so the gear knob just sits on top for now <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jawdrop.gif" alt="" />

How about one from a DSM? I think its shorter from the factory. Got one in my car, so I know it fits the same.

I have one in my car too. It's not a short shifter in that the pivot point is changed, but it's lower and feels way better.
