I'd like to take this opportunity to show some pics I took of Karter's car.

17" x 8.5". I dunno the offset. 255/40r17 Falken Azenis.

Yes, it is sticky, I think I've finally got enough tire. Offset is +48, but I'm running a 5mm spacer in the rear.

I assume coilovers are a must? That's like stock sized offset in the front, but 2.5 extra inches.

Yes, coilovers are a must, and in Karter's case, some other custom work as well.

Other custom work as in how? Rolled fenders? Some frame modifications. I'm always down/interested in fitting more rubber underneath my wheel wells.

To clear the tires he had to raise the perches on the coilovers to sit above them. Normally that would make the car sit rather high, but he moved the camber plate to above the strut tower in order for the car to sit lower. I'm still not convinced that's a great idea, but if it works out, I'd be tempted to do it as well to gain some travel on the front of my car.

In the rear, he had to grind down and weld the trailing arms to clear the tires. Having a large enough offset to tuck the tires also means pushing them into the trailing arms.
