I would be moving it before it gets any higher! even at that height you run the risk of water entering the cabin, you just don't know if one of your floor pan bungs is missing until your interior is saturated.

so i checked my car before heading off to work this morning....

the floor mats and carpet on the left side (passenger side since its rhd) is soaked. Apart from drying out the carpet with a wet dry vac, what should i do? \

thanks

Pull the carpet out and wash it. Let the floorboards dry out. Check all electrical connections that may have gotten wet. Otherwise you may run into problems years down the road, that's why floods normally total cars out.

Pull the carpet You can get it out with out removing the center console but will have to cut the carpet in the middle. Then take it to a car wash and pressure wash. Dollar general sells some stuff called totally awesome for a dollar a bottle that works wonders. After that as was said check electrical stuff ecu plugs etc and then after letting the car dry put a dehumidifier in the car and let it run for a few days it will suck the moisture out of places you can't get to.

I cleaned up my wifes xterra a few years ago and pressure washed the seats after I got them out and did the door panels and some of the places under the carpet as well as the air vents. I let everything dry outside for a day then put it back together and put the dehumidifier in and pulled out probably 15 gallons or more over the next 2 days but when done smelled like a new car.
