Pressure Plate

Bought a pressure plate off the forum couple days ago. when I got it I noticed that it had a small weight welded to the out side. I can get a pic tomorrow, is this going to cause a problem or was it balanced?

Was the weight welded on and painted over? This is probably how they balance the clutch plate at the factory. If it appears someone welded one after the original painting, then I would assume a machine shop welded it on to balance the whole rotating assembly. How large is it? Pics?
