Hey guys. So I picked up 125 this past Saturday from a member on here, saw it for sale and scooped her.

The car overall is not bad. His uncle claims he built the motor with arias pistons and Carrillo rods, can't verify it by ordered a oil pan gasket to pull the one and check to see what's in there. Has 550 injectors, FMIC, 18g, FP exhaust manifold and hard intake pipe. COP set up. Supporting mods and such. It's got an HKS VPC, not entirely sure on how to use it although I've looked at a few manuals, seems like mostly just using the response an gain knobs and the other two stay untouched mostly... Seems outdated and I do want to pick up a Link set up

Anyway, car is pretty solid BUT there are some things that are just plain half assed, for example you can clearly see rtv sealer around the BOV... I was driving it home and devoloped a boost leak.. Thought perhaps it was a coupler and went over all of them, they were loss but I snugged them up.

So I went and built a boost leak tester and pulled my intake off, upon seeing this:

I guess it was cracked before and they decided rtv would fix it... Now I hate when sh*t gets half assed but I'm scared of running it with this leak, so tomorrow I'm going to clean it up, and actually hit it with some JB quik because that at least will provide some protection and will stop the leak.

Now options?... I talked to my guy and said we can't weld it, I was expecting as much.. I want an external so I'm thinking that should hold up for a week till payday..

Well I guess that's it for my first post, here are some pictures I guess /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Jertech, te BOV is fine. Greddy RS, but do you by chance have a gasket for it? And will the wastegate interchange on the 18g? I'd imagine it would.

Have to rep jersey all day guys! Maybe we can get a cruise on soon, tis the season to boost.

Don't use a gasket on the oil pan, it will leak. Gray RTV is your friend.

^^^ what he said. Don't use any gasket on the oil pan. EVER.

Many of us have made that mistake at some point or another. They just wind up leaking.

Okay so gray rtv it is then.

I bought some iridium plugs too, I looked and saw most of you guys using br8es in them, but the ones I got were "stock replacement" too but the range is 6. Do you Gus think that's too cool? Or is there something different? Guy at autozone said in his computer that those are what it called for.

If you are talking NGK, 6 is hotter than 8, not colder.

I went straight to the dealer for my grey RTV, and it worked way better than the other RTV (black autozone) that a friend had when I was in a tight spot. If you need anything else, holler! I got some random parts lying around too, but no waste-gate.
