Quoting rdomeck:
If you can find SEM trim black use that. I have an account with Carquest and they carry it. You will see this in every body shop that you look in, including mine. It is good to use and spray's out of the can very well. Like everything else the prep work is 90% of the work. You will spend 4-5 hours taping it up, 20 minutes scuffing it and 5 minutes painting it. Do a light coat first and then a little heavier coat. You can get by with one can, but buy two just in case. I think the SEM stuff cost about $8-9 a can.
Good luck!
Thank you for the advice. It took several stops to finally find it. Carquest in my area did not carry SEM, but the guy did not even try to look it up. Napa did not have it either. It finally took going to a Orielly's auto parts that handled paint to find it, plus the paint guy knew exactly what I was looking for. At retail it was 11.99 a can. Now I just need to finish the clay/buff/wax the last panel on the car which is the front bumper, so I can start the trim project.
