paint prep

just purchased my gvr4 and love it, couple minor issues, nothing to big right now.. but some exterior rust and clear coat faliure. im going to prep the car before getting it painted to cut costs. what sould be done to prep the car for all new paint

There is a ton of stuff involved in prepping a car for paint. Well to do it correctly anyway. I would search Youtube, there are plenty of videos that will get you started.

I was gonna prep my car to save as well and I just painted my front fender for the first time ever doing body work, its a lot of work to make it right.
