Is Belize Green only found on GVR4s?

I have a hood that I am in the process of painting. It is costing me more to paint the hood than it would probably cost me to go the local wrecker and get another hood. If other Galants of the same years were Belize Green I would probably take my chances and go to the wrecker to try and find one...if not then I probably wouldn't waste my time and will just continue painting.

Thanks

I think they used the same paint code on other vehicles such as the Montero but used a different name for the color. That said, I've never seen another galant model with Belize green paint on it. I would just continue painting. The chances of finding a hood with good paint in that color at the junkyard are pretty slim.

The noly colors I ever seem to find in junkyards are white, that awful blue color, and maroon...

damn...just ordered the paint lol! The salvage yard here is massive..wouldn't be surprised if there was one sitting in there...still what condition would the hood be in?

I know they had a green for '93, but its not Belize Green.
Also, I was going to say Im sure the '91 Galant GS & GSR was available in Belize Green.

Mine has the clear coat failure...the hood is in good shape. I guess I will just continue the painting. Next time I will check before being so jumpy.

I would have just gone with the painting. At this point, considering the age of the cars, you can count on most any junkyard car to have horrible paint if you're even lucky enough to find one in the correct color.

Belize green was found on any 91-92 Galant with a DOHC engine so GS,GSR,GSX and VR-4. I sold a bunch of GS's in Belize green. 1Ga Eclipses came in B.Green too. It was also found on Japanese built 4 door Mirages.

Nordic Blue = amazing color.

Also, I agree with painting being the best option. Very rarely will you find a hood with the original paint that would look good enough to use.

Since green is the fastest color you want find it on anything else and since they only made so much in one batch ended up painting just the lucky cars that color. All others got stuck with black, white, and grey. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devil.gif
