Wondering if anyone here can identify this plug- the unplugged one. it's alongside the driver's side wall, behind the washer reservoir and next to the p/s unit. Came out to my car today, battery was drained, idiot lights would barely light up dimly, no crank, and all i hear is this plug buzzing. Took me forever to isolate it- I actually thought i shorted out the alternator and it was buzzing....found out the hard way it wasnt.

It sounds like the abs motor is running 24/7.

There's a relay down on the valve body that *may* have it's points welded/stuck together.

Unlug that relay and plug then motor back in and see whether the motor still runs

... at any rate, it's a place to start.

for general purposes, can i get away with leaving the plug just unplugged for now and drive it til i get it into a garage, or am I causing more of a problem in doing so?

btw the abs light has been coming on here and there, and turning off just as much

Leaving it unplugged will *probably* be fine, but I'd look into finding the fault asap, just for peace of mind.

had to put the alternator back in, hook everything else up so I could jumpstart the car tonight, or I'd be figuring out how to get her started. Ill look for the relay tomorrow when it's daylight out, and no snow in my face.
