In the engine bay this afternoon eliminating some open ended ground wires and noticed this plug with a connector attached to it but no wire on the male end.
It's coming off the main harness right behind the plug wires and intake. The first picture is of the female end and the next is of the male end connector with
the female end in the background. I found an engine diagram for the 2g DSM on Tuners but couldn't match it up. Anybody got any ideas?

I thought that plug was along the firewall? Can anybody confirm this? Or is it a engine speed detection connector ? That is what I think the FSM shows it to be but I could be wrong.

i think its the fuel pump wire, when you put power to it, it turns on the fuel pump so you can flush it. its actually pretty cool.

Iirc the fuel pump jumper is a brown plug, located on the firewall towards the passenger side of the car. I was also inder the impression the timing connector was back there too, and yellow/black. I could be mistaken though, its been a while.
