1G fuel sender - how much longer?

So I'm fed up with the leaking, smelling, not working fuel gauge and I'm looking to buy a new sender. I searched all morning and did find rtm racing has a 1g for half the price of the dealership (like $231 with new gauge and gasket and a sweet -6an fitting). I emailed him asking if it is modifiable and he said easily and that he could do it for me if I could tell him how much shorter the gvr4 version is.

Anybody know exactly how much to hack it?
