so i have an evo gtIII big 16g and was wondering how much boost i can run on pump gas (91) i have a fully built motor, head studs, cometic gasket, big injectors, safc2 and all other supporting mods. my motor will easily handle a 16g maxed out but i was wondering what would be safe to run on 91.
thanks,

Bryce O'Cain

Get a wIdeband and a logger and tune for no knock at the highest boost level you can before it does start knocking.

from my experience i was able to run about 22psi with my wideband at 10.5 afr and i dont have a build motor.... this was just on a B16g, fuel support, and a custom chip....

10.5 is a bit rich but remember your gonna be running 91oct.... i played it on the safe side.... go read some in the dsmtuners forum.... from wat i know you wouldnt want to run anything higher than 10.8-11 afr on 91 octane....

I was able to run 25~28psi on my evo3. Shell v-power 93oct is all I have ever run. Boost creeped steady, but I was making 17* of timing @6500rpm's with no knock, It was a stock motor on dsmlink V2.5. My a/f was a bit on the safe side, 11.0, 11.1.
