Do the compression check. Its easy and will tell you 100% if your head gasket is blown.

umm you have idle surge, because the computer isn't reading any voltage from the throttle position sensor, that you don't have. Those components are kind of important. Sounds to me like an April foolI would suggest, instead of toking the water pipe.. you replace it.

you might check your low oil level sensor, its right next to the oil filter. Mine came undone, and blew out 5qts of oil in no time. coated the entire underside of my car.just a thought.

You have to check resistance, with the power off. because otherwise you will fry stuff. If you do some searching you can test to see what the readings should be on the sensor, and at the other end of the harness, there shouldn't be a huge difference. i'm editing this post... i was wrong, i followed the wrong line, the next thing is a #7 15a fuse, in the fuse box, so check all of those and see if any are blown. that wire is fed directly (according to the wire diagram) from the headlight wiring. So look for blown or missing fuses.

check to make sure the starter wire is in good shape, if its not getting enough power to the solenoid, the starter wont have the power to turn the flywheel, and it'll just click and grind. It might be worth hooking up a wire to it, and running it to a multimeter to make sure you getting enough...

just a quick addition, use the multimeter to check the top of the fuses (assuming your referring to the blade type fuse) in the fuse box, if you have power on both sides of the fuse, then you know the problem is further down the circuit towards the fog lights.

it depends on how you want to approach it. You did say that neither foglight was working right? i would start with the items i suggested, check for power first, just make sure the car is on (doesnt have to be running, disconnect the harness connector you want to check first, and check for vDC...

I traced out all the wires connected to the starter relay back, and it touches the MPI relay, CAS sensor, o2 sensor, and there is a direct ground along the way. If one of those components has failed, it will interrupt the path of current to the starter relay. I can take the wiring down further...

I have a question about a different harness connector.For 90 GSX cars running the 91-94 ECU, you swap pin 6 and pin 14. on the GSX pin 6, is the idle closed switch, but pin 14 is empty. So you simply move pin 6, into the slot for pin 14, however on the 91 VR4, pin 6 is an airflow sensor wire...

Here is a picture with the completed ECU side connector for the 24 pin connector. All i have to do now is wire up the vehicle side connector, and then go try to connect all the wires up... fun fun.

did you ever check compression, timing, did you make sure the cams are aligned correctly. My guess is, that the timing is way off... because your firing, out the intake valve, and blowing off the throttle body pipe right, so that valve is open, when it should be closed, so, either ignition...

i had no problems getting mine from my local oreilly's.i always have them check to see what other year parts are the same, so i know for future if something isnt available, that i can grab stuff from another year

yea i get like 8mpg if i drive it like i stole it. I try to get 200 miles per tank though, driving it conservatively. Some days it happens, others it doesn't.
