    Mitsubishi sources the lower ball joint as complete in the lower control arm. Expensive. Moog sells the balljoint separately. MUCH cheaper.The struts can cause a shimmy if you hit a bump and they are SHOT.

    Belize green was found on any 91-92 Galant with a DOHC engine so GS,GSR,GSX and VR-4. I sold a bunch of GS's in Belize green. 1Ga Eclipses came in B.Green too. It was also found on Japanese built 4 door Mirages.
  7. Damn Clutch issue

    The clutch operates a bellcrank. It is keyed onto the pedal shaft and retained by a nut. The pedal shaft hammers the inside of the "fluid lever" and makes it so you push in the pedal and get no master cylinder actuation.JNZ's got a pedal box rebuild kit with a new pedal, lever and bushings...

    It helps to grease the lip of the boot and make sure the knuckle isn't nicked.

    Nobody suggested changing the connector? OK I will. That might be your problem. I haven't killed any on the Galant, but I have on the 1G.
  11. Dash lights stopped working?

    Check if the dimmer rheostat came unplugged in the dash too.
  12. Water leak on passenger side

    If the box was full of water. But you'd know. The sloshing would be terrible.Also, check around the windshield. (where my Eclipse leaks) and where the wiring harness for the passenger front door enters the car.

    BG Synchromesh in the tranny, Rebuilt pedal assembly, braided steel hose, new master and slave and mine shifts like BUTTAH!Your car will shift like stir fried ASS until you get rid of the 90WT in the trans.

    Check the clutch pedal shaft for wear where it bolts into the clutch master actuating arm. (Called the "Fluid Lever" in factoryspeak) 581's is junk. Check there.

    The one for Evo VIII, is the same diameter and works beautifully. It's also shorter than the late MD031805. (which I still have a half a case!)

    Rear calipers are different. It took multiple tries for Autozone to get it right.

    And I'm a Mitsubishi tech and an ASE Master. In the last fifteen years I've put 500,000 miles on various 4g63s. I've not had the misfortune of having a balance shaft belt let go on one of mine, but I've seen it at least a dozen times. Causing a complete failure. Which is enough to convince me...

    With a fresh O2 sensor, mine passed handily.Make sure it isn't burning oil, also. And make sure the cat is HOT!!!!! I drove mine 75 miles to another Emissions station even though I am a CT Emissions Inspector!
