And while it's not like this with the Galant, I just hate to see Evo guys take off a perfectly good set of BBS just to install some cheap Rotas.

True.

I'm not really hung up on getting the Rotas, I just really like the design being a simple 5 spoke with flatish spokes. And I like the look of the thick spokes as opposed to thin. Any other suggestions for wheels that have a similar design?

Thanks to kartorium for actually addressing my question.

225 is not wide enough. Wheels would need to be 4 lug, dont really wanna hassle with 5 lug swap.

Doh, sorry. 245/45-16. Perfect on an 8 inch wheel, with a +38-40 offset it will be in the fender. The problem is wheel selection in the 4-114.3 bolt pattern. Hence the only reason everyone goes five lug. Jus' Sayin.

Luckily for me I've found a Few different rims I like that come in 4lug 15's. Only problem is finding 15in tires is getting harder and harder.

I can take pictures of 235/45 on a 17x8 as a reference if you want? I wouldn't go less than that. If I could have had the correct rotating diameter in a 245 I would have.

245 is great on an 8" wheel.

Correct rotating diameter? If you're trying to keep that the same diameter as stock in a 235, you would want an aspect ratio of 40, as it's only about 5mm larger overall. A 45 is 29mm larger or a little over one inch.

I appreciate the offer. I have a set of 245/45/17's on 17x8.5 on my 91 Talon so I have an idea of what they look like on a 17" just wasn't sure about a 16" and how similar fitment is on a vr4.

I have extra set of 4 lug 16" x 7.5" offset 38 ASA LW5 wheels and I was using 225x45 summer tires on them. I switched out to 5 lug 17 and using 235x40. 215x45 x 17 snow tires.
