89 under dash

So i found a 89 galant or some year, it had the ecs and the little pod where the badge goes but it also had the 89 underdash. i was stoked and then realized after i bought it that it doesent fit right i got it to bolt up and there's like 2 inch's of space from the steering column to the underdash does anyone got any pictures they could take to show me fitting correctly..

or do i have to modify this one a but?

Nah, that one won't fit. I happen to have an 89 Galant lying around though that needs one. $5 shipped?

 

Remove those two obnoxious large metal brackets and the 89 under dash will line up with the holes. You should have also grabbed the 89 ventilation duct.

Yes, but you should have grabbed the ducting so it would actually blow through the vents
