want to remove maf have dsm link v2.5 do i have to use a gm maf or maft?

wanting to remove my maf to run an efficient intake setup after i put on my precision turbo and upgraded intercooler. I know i can use a gm maf and maft through dsm link but is it necessary since isint a stand alone ecu system..?

You need to upgrade to V3 if you want to run speed density and delete the MAF all together. Otherwise, just run a MAF-T and GM MAF in blow through in your upper intercooler pipe.
