VR-4 (840/1000) from the Netherlands

Hello Guys,

My name is Mario, i'm 21 years old and i live in the Netherlands (so don't blame me on my english grammar). I bought a GVR4 a few weeks ago. It has the tag 840/1000 and he is born in 1992.
Before the galant i had a few Honda's, even with turbo. At a moment i saw a GVR4 for sale here in the Netherlands. I never heard about this car and i thought it was a car for my grandpa, but when i searched about thir car on google i defenetly changed my mind. So a few weeks later i owned a GVR4.

In the last 3 years i learned a lot of Honda's, but now i want to learn about de galant. I hope you guys can help me when i have some questions. But first i will search on this site to find my answer.

The galant is not the nicest one on the forum, but i will clean it up. Because i live in the Netherlands it is very difficult to get parts voor de galant. I can order it in the USA but sometimes the shipping costs more than the product. As example a intercooler kit. In the usa i have to pay 900 dollar, but the shipping to the Netherlands costs like 500 dollar extra.

Soooo, my first question: Is it possible to create my own IC piping kit? Someone knows wich bends i have to use to make it work?

Thank you for looking at my topic,

Kind regards,

Mario

I have the same back seat us you! I just purchase # 692 and my 3 year old twins like riding in it. I don't like the price of the intercooler kits and to add shipping is just not right. I will hopefully make the time to build my own in the next month and I will share what I learn. I run a fabrication welding shop with many tools at my disposal....A little talent now is all that I need! Good luck.

Haha, those child seats are not mine!!!! Haha i'm just 21 years old!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rofl.gif.

Thanks, that would be great! I hope you can tell me wich bends i need to make my own ic piping. I think we can make our own for about 200 dollars!
I read about the ic and piping from the gvr4. They said there is a lot of restriction in the ic and piping. Is that right?

Do you guys have some tips/sites where i can read a lot of info about upgrading my engine? I would like to have more power in my car but i think it takes more than only raise the boost... Can you guys help me wat i should pick for the fist upgrades?

I allready drive with a evoIII turbo/manifold/02housing/downpipe...

You should have no issue getting bits in the netherlands. Mitsubishi europes spare parts operation is there. We can back order straight from japan if not from there either. Non euro cars shouldn't be an issue either.

For an I/C look in the uk for evo 1/2/3/ parts, shipping won't kill as much as from the states /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif, there is a few members in the netherlands so you should not be short of help, also there is a few of us in the uk too.

Thank you!

Do you have some forumnames for me from some dutch guys?

I/C from evo1? But the piping will not fit right?

muntermugge or something like that. Try looking through members rides.

No the stock piping won't bolt up, but as with anything, you have to use a little imagination. Especially on these cars! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
