Twin scroll trouble

So I picked up a new car (not vr4) and it has a twin scroll turbo. It also has an external wastegate. The wastegate is located off the manifold, but it doesn't vent from both banks. Is this going to cause any immediate problems with boost control? Every twin scroll dsm mani I've seen has provisions for two wastegate.

A cast twin scroll manifold? They are usually hand built and resemble something along the lines of this..

^Yeah TWIN ENTRY TURBO is written on every mr2 turbo motor. lol You will be fine the way it is.

Yes, its a stock unit. So does the stock internal wastegate only pull from one bank? Its an interesting setup none-the-less.

Even if it does, it probably works just as well as installing a wastegate on the #1 runner of one of our manifolds. Not ideal on paper, but works fine in practice.
