Speaker Sizes??

what are all the factory speaker sizes in the galant vr4. crutchfield only list the door size and rear deck size. i want to mainly know the size of the ones that go in the dash, since i got the car and no speakers are in there.

Front dash ones are 3.5 inch.

6.5" will fit in the rear deck with no cutting of the shelf.

 

whatever size is in the back now i have to remove and get new ones....the magnet is to long and it hit the metal things that hold the trunk up and shorted them out off and on...so the previous owner took those metal things out.. i want to put some speakers in with a smaller magnet and then somehow get those metal things back in ..im sure that wont be easy

I had 3-way $300 6.5" Infinity Kappas in the rear and they fit just fine.

Whats the size of the door speakers? also whats the max depth?

 

I have 5-1/4" infinity's in my doors. Mine are the Reference series. The stock speaker was 5-1/4".
Sorry, I don't know the depth of the speaker openings.

Probably doesn't mean much to most members here, but the dash speakers in my (1991 JDM "Evolution" VR4) are 4 inches. 3.5 inch speakers are simply too small and don't fit in the hole.

I have polk audio 4inch speakers in the dash and 6 1/2 polk momo component sets in the front door and in the rear.

my jdm pre 89.10 vr4 and my jdm pre 90.10 vr4 both have 4" speakers in the dash also.

just letting you know that if you plan on replacing the door speakers prepare to do some soldering. i have 5 1/4 in the door and i still needa replace all the other stock ones.
