recomended clutch?

I didn't relize that the op posted 5 months ago. Being new to the site seeing an unread post I assume it's current. I was just trying to mingle with the rest of the gvr4 community and help out where possible since I carry alot of knowledge with the Mitsubishi product. In the future I will check dates to avoid this misunderstanding.

I'm not sure how many times I need to say this, but twin disks aren't just for holding power. IMO, I think their biggest benefit is being able to shift quicker, which helps no matter how much HP you're putting down.

I had the same experience with my Centerforce Dual-Friction clutch I put in my GVR4. So much so, that I bled the sucker like 3 different times, including once pulling the line off the slave and bleeding it up in the air. Finally I got my daughter out in the garage to push on the clutch pedal, and watched it, and it was moving fully.

Yes it does help a great deal with shifting as well as holding power. But a twin disc is a last resort clutch. It damages the input shaft of the trans. Theres not enough surface area from the discs to the shaft it wears out the splines. I have around 25 passes and 15 miles of driving on my QM twin disc and you can already see where the discs ride on the shaft. So imagine what it will do on a DD. Its only a suggestion. So unless you make big power find another clutch. I bet that 95% of the members here will do just fine with a single disc clutch.
