rear wheel bearings are fun.

Just made an attempt to replace inner and outer rear wheel bearings. 25 ton shop press wouldn't even make them budge. I tried a sawzall an airhammer then I finally cut through the race with a torch and airhammered them out.

Once you got the old race cut off, how bad was it?

I did mine on the car with a hammer. Sorry about your luck. One of the perks of living in the south I guess.

Yeah I couldn't get mine out when I tried here.

I tried cutting through mine with a dremel. The airhammer did nothing. The sawzall wasn't going to work on hardened steel. Then I realized a guy was parting out a Talon after hitting a deer and made the easy decision.

I was going to say, I've done a few and never had any trouble. on the car with a hammer, or off the car with a press.
