Piston ring gap

By chance does anyone know, or know where I can find the specs for the piston ring gap for a our pistons? My block is bored .020 over.

Stock specs as listed in the factory service manual:

No. 1 ring = 0.25 - 0.45 mm (.0098 - .0177 inches)
No. 2 ring = 0.35 - 0.50 mm (.0138 - .0197 inches)

oil ring rails = 0.20 - 0.70 mm (.0079 - .0276 inches)

oh really? cool that must be one of the pages that was ripped out of mine. will those values still be the same even though I am not at stock bore?

Essentially yes. They can vary by bore size but not from that little amount of change.

Please, bear in mind you'll want to be towards the larger side of the tolerance range if you're going to be running a lot of boost, or nitrous.

oh ok thank you. hopefully I can have the motor together by the end of January

if you do file your own rings, just make sure you do a cylinder at time and keep the rings separated as to which cylinder they go with.
